Abstract
We consider cluster-based micro/picocellular networks with overlapped cell-clusters. Two cluster channel assignment policies, namely, partitioned cluster channel assignment and shared cluster channel assignment-policies are proposed and their performances are studied. Our results show that the shared cluster channel assignment policy has significantly better performance (in terms of hand-off dropping probability) than the partitioned cluster channel assignment policy
