  • Abstract
    This paper presents high angular resolution estimation methods applied to W-band vehicle Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar. This paper proposes 2 procedure of high angular resolution estimation for vehicle FMCW radar with sawtooth waveform. In this paper, to improve angular resolution using of multi-chirp signal of 2 types. One is using a multi-chirp signal, another is using a averaged multi-chirp signal. Angular estimation algorithm which Forward Backward SS-MUSIC(Spatial Smoothed MUltiple SIgnal Classification) is used in this paper. We show by computer simulation for multi-chirp signal of 2 types that the resolution of DOA(Direction of arrival) estimation using Forward Backward SS-MUSIC.
