Abstract
This paper presents some control solutions dedicated to the position control of a mechatronics application. The controlled plant is an electromagnetically actuated clutch. The linearized models are derived from the nonlinear model of the plant. The control solutions involve conventional PI(D) control solutions, two-degree-of-freedom (2-DOF), fuzzy and 2-DOF fuzzy control solutions. The developed control solutions were tested and verified through simulations using a set of concrete numerical values of the parameters.
