Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate the optical wave-guiding properties of the quasi-periodic band gap structures. In this case, the Fibonacci quasi-crystals are used and the eigenmodes and eigenvalues of the electromagnetic wave propagating through these structures are obtained. Also, the band structure of the system is obtained and the guiding modes distribution is demonstrated. Finally these structures can be used as optical filters with multi reflection peaks, which can be used in optical signal processing and DWDM systems.
