Abstract :
In this paper, we present a study on the performance of patch antennas based on metamaterials. The introduction of a substrate layer made of (Ω) or (S) shaped patterns can improve the performance of a normal patch antenna. We present thus the antenna performance and comment on the results. The numerical simulations are performed by using the commercial fullwave software CST Microwave Studio [1].
