Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to design a new low-profile micro ultrasonic motor which can be used in high magnetic field. In advanced scientific and industrial fields, the demand for instruments that use high magnetic fields has increased. We have fabricated a micro motor for sample spinning in high-resolution solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) system. To avoid the influence against the measurement of NMR system, the low-profile ultrasonic motor has been designed and fabricated. We have evaluated its driving performance in a magnetic field of 7 T. The result shows that the micro motor can be used for the sample spinning in high magnetic field.
