Abstract
This paper provides an overview of system configurations and characteristics of novel fixed wireless systems with the transmission capacity of 156 Mbit/s developed for the purpose of constructing entrance circuits for IMT-2000 networks. The systems employ 64QAM to improve the spectrum efficiency, and a decision feedback equalizer to remove intersymbol interference caused by waveform distortion. The systems are advantageous in the economical construction of entrance circuits to address the increasing traffic demands for IMT-2000 data communications in the near future.
