Abstract
This paper presents the synchronization of two Rössler systems using two different methods. Synchronization is achieved when the signals produced by the slave are identical to those of the master. The first approach of synchronization is based on the principle of one-way coupling and requires the determination of control signals for controlling the slave. The second approach is based on the use of an observer. A sliding mode observer with step by step convergence is used for synchronization. The results in both cases are presented.
