Abstract
Communication systems performance estimation is of paramount importance for the efficient design of communication link for wireless applications. Although an increasing number of system level CAD tools are available, they often do not include the effects of active device nonlinearities. This is due to the lack of accurate albeit simple active device models suited for system level simulations; however, power amplifiers are the key blocks that must be accounted for to describe nonlinear effects. This work presents a fast, efficient and accurate behavioral modeling accounting for memory effects, suitable for RF power amplifier (RFPA) inserted into a complete communication link.
