Abstract :
A digital implementation of a fuzzy-logic controller is presented. The controller uses stochastic logic to implement the operations involved in the defuzzification process. A proper selection of the different parts of the controller and the use of stochastic logic leads to a very simple architecture. A prototype is being designed using a 1.5 ¿m CMOS technology. In spite of its simple architecture, the proposed controller achieves more than 100000 FLIPs.
