  • Abstract
Series hydrostatic transmission hybrid vehicle (SHHV) is an application of hydrostatic transmission technology to improve vehicle fuel economy and emissions. To make good use of the on-board energy sources in the SHHV design and application, several influencing factors on the SnHHV system efficiency are studied and evaluated. Then, the improved measures are proposed to enhance the efficiency of SHHV. Simulation results show that by taking multi-pump/motors configuration, adopting the regenerative braking and reuse strategy are helpful to improve the system efficiency of SHHV under driving cycle especially under urban driving conditions.
