Abstract
Surface electromyography (SEMG) is a bioelectricity phenomenon with muscle activities, the key of design of SEMG detection circuit is how to extract the signal from the strong noise background and amplify it at high multiple. This paper analyzed the characteristics and circuit model of SEMG, presented a detection circuit with high CMRR including DC signal isolation and preamplifier circuit, 50Hz notch filter using special active filter chip (UAF42), high-pass filter and low-pass filter. The detection circuit was successfully applied in the control system of prosthesis hand.
