Abstract :
In order to suffice power for underwater vehicle sailing in high speed, a proposal of a powerful cam engine was made. Based on analyzing working process of this engine, the mathematic models of transmission mechanism, valve mechanism and the working medium in cylinder were established respectively. The prototype of cam engine was made and its property was tested. The results which were got by comparing the test with the computer simulation show that the design proposal is practicable and the mathematic model is correct. The model established in this paper provides a reliable method for further improving the structure and optimizing the design of the engine.
