Abstract
We first reported for conductor-backed coplanar strips that nonphysical improper solution has significant contribution to physical total field excited by a practical source. We investigate here quantitatively this unexpected effect for slot lines in more detail, and we conclude that it occurs on most, if not all, printed-circuit lines, so that the effect is rather general.
