Abstract
With the further development of network transmission technology, embedded technology, visual tracking technology, as well as people require to reduce the cost of surveillance system, improve reliability of system, increase the degree of system´s intelligence, the intelligent remote video monitoring system is becoming the new hot topic. This paper combines the embedded technology and TCP/IP network technology to achieve remote video surveillance system based on embedded Linux. The collection side hardware of the system uses S3C2440 chip based on ARM core, the operating system uses the embedded Linux, the service program runs by Demon in the operating system to wait monitor connection terminal for providing service to achieve remote monitoring on the LAN or on the Internet and parameter setting, and thus achieve the basic platform of the intelligent control system.
