  • Abstract
This paper describes the authors´ experience in teaching power electronics at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Carolina within the context of a Control Systems Laboratory course. The Control Systems Laboratory combines control. power electronics, and circuit design into an interesting challenge for the students. The students come face-to-face with important system design issues and come to appreciate the breadth of engineering knowledge required to effectively design power electronic systems.
