  • Abstract
    A four-port axially-magnetized Ferrite Coupled Line (FCL) section has been designed and experimentally tested, and the feasibility of a three-port microstrip circulator using this FCL has been shown. Insertion loss of 1.5 dB and isolation of 20 dB is realised at 6.6 GHz. It is also predicted that performance can be improved by enclosing the magnetized FCL in a small metal tube.
