Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel WDM fiber optic link for millimeter-wave wireless access systems which service high-speed data rate to mobile wireless terminals. The fiber fed antenna at the base station has the functions of beam steering, nulling, tracking, and capturing whose control is achieved using analog beam forming and digital signal processing techniques at the control station. Therefore, the WDM fiber optic link can make it possible to simplify the base station hardware, and then to reduce the total system cost.
