  • Abstract
To improve the tractor handling stability and comfort, the automatic hydraulic transmission is designed based on the maximum speed and maximum traction of the tractor. The matching between engine and hydraulic torque converter is crucial to the performance of the automatic hydraulic transmission, and is important to the power performance and fuel consumption of vehicle. This paper developed a program to calculated and analyzed on the matching to improve the performance. At the same time, it presented the major technical parameters of the hydraulic automatic transmission and tested the new tractor. The tested results showed that the performance of the tractor had been greatly improved. It has practical value to the wide application of the hydraulic drive technology and is significant to raise the operating efficiency of transportation system.
