Abstract
A novel moisture meter has been developed to determine the moisture in any kind of paper with a single calibration curve. The moisture meter was a three-wavelength calculation, and the most suitable optical structure is designed from the calculation. As a result, the moisture in paper made of various types of pulp could be determined with a standard deviation of less than 0.1% by using only one calibration curve. The meter is capable of measuring from 2% to 20% moisture in paper
