Abstract
The development of a multipurpose servo sensor which can be used as an angular position, velocity, and acceleration sensor is discussed. In order to pursue the realization of such a sensor, analog and digital signal processor type angular velocity sensors are proposed and developed using a phase-locked loop demodulating method of a brushless resolver signal which is generally used for an angular position sensor. The results obtained to date suggest that the angular velocity sensors proposed are sufficiently practical and therefore the brushless resolver can be used as a multipurpose servo sensor
