Abstract
Investigation of the properties of fields, diffracted on a system of scatterers in a stratified medium, is an important problem of modern radiophysics. Description of such phenomena in the resonance frequency range, where the wavelength is close to the scatterers´ dimensions, is possible only with a rigorous solution of the corresponding diffraction problem. Significant difficulties arise when the scattered field is calculated in the case of arbitrary scatterer geometry. One way to solve the problem of scalar electromagnetic wave diffraction in the H-polarized case on scatterers in a stratified medium is proposed
