Abstract :
The guaranteed cost control problems of a class of uncertain dynamical systems are considered. A novel approach to constructing the guaranteed cost control is presented. By constructing a control law for uncertain dynamical systems, a most favorable value of the cost functional for the system designer can be guaranteed no matter how the system uncertainty varies within some bounded subsets. Therefore, one can obtain some exact control results for dynamical systems with uncertainty by making use of the proposed approach. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of this approach
