Abstract :
In this paper we propose an accurate analysis of the outage probability in a slow frequency hopping-time division multiple access (FH-TDMA) cellular system with generically correlated log-normal interferers. The effects of an imperfect slow power control is accounted for. The approach is analytical or semi-analytical for the forward link and semi-analytical for the reverse link. In the latter case, simulation is used to randomly assign the positions of mobile terminals, and final performance is estimated by averaging over a large number of runs. Numerical results are presented, as obtained at various values of channel, parameters. The effectiveness of power control is also evaluated
