Abstract :
We investigate and analyze the performance of multiuser multistage interference cancellation in a multirate wideband direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) communication system where the overall bandwidth expansion due to spread spectrum processing gain and channel coding cannot be too large due to limitation in the available channel bandwidth. In particular, two multistage interference cancellation methods are considered and the effect of channel coding on such schemes are investigated
