Abstract :
Dominance-based rough sets approach is a very effective tool in dealing with ordered information system. In this paper, we presented a new dominance relationship, called maximal dominance link (MDL), which depicts the dominance classes between the objects of ordered information system more accurately. Compared with previous dominance-based rough sets approach, the objects in a dominance class always have dominance relationship for each other in the proposed MDL model. Then we give the properties of MDL and finish the proof of some properties. Based on the MDL, we formulate the new lower and upper approximation which have higher level of accuracy. This means that it can provide a more efficient computation for knowledge acquisition, especially in large ordered information systems.
