Abstract
A discussion of the design, construction, testing, and use of Flexlab, a flexible structures laboratory, is presented. Flexlab is a two degree of freedom flexible structure that is controlled by a personal computer. It is useful in developing system identification techniques (SISO and MIMO) as well as providing a means by which SISO or MIMO control strategies for flexible structures can be tested
