Abstract
One of the concerns of knowledge management (KM) should be the management of uncertainty in the KM process and in the data with which this process operates. We examine the various types of uncertainty that can arise. These are grouped into types that relate to data quality and to the KM process. Some areas in need of further study are indicated.
