Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of designing a fuzzy H∞ state feedback tracking control for a boiler-turbine system. First, the boiler-turbine system is modeled as a Takagi and Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model. Then, based on the TS fuzzy model, a sufficient condition for the existence of a H∞ fuzzy nonlinear state feedback tracking control is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The advantage of proposed tracking control design is that only a simple fuzzy controller is used in our approach without the feedback linearization technique and any complicated adaptive scheme. Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design as compared with a linearized approach.
