Abstract :
A forward energy-delivered technique is proposed to reduce the power loss in the step-up ZVS full-bridge (FB) converter. The forward energy-delivered circuit (FEDC) closely wound in the resonant inductor can alleviate the high ringing ripples incorporating in the primary current and deliver excess energy to the load during step-up conversion The valid duty in ZVS FB converter can then be kept within 0.5-0.7 for step-up five times the input voltage with high efficiency over 88%-92% in a wide load range. A 600 W FEDC step-up converter with 250 V-output/48 V-input is designed and examined to assess the conversion performance and its power efficiency is improved better over 3-5% than before.
