  • Abstract
A scheme for implementing wideband, bias current sources in monolithic, bipolar technology is presented and analyzed. The scheme allows realization of more linear radio-frequency amplifiers. The method is particularly useful when large bias currents have to be handled, a situation that frequently occurs in the first amplifying stage in a low-noise amplifier. Numerical experiments have been made, showing substantial increase in amplifier loop gain
