Abstract :
Canonical problem wave diffraction by an impedance halfplane is a constituent in many problems of diffraction and antennas. The generalization of the standard scalar impedance boundary conditions are the anisotropic impedance boundary conditions. Two uncoupled matrix Wiener-Hopf equations are solved directly. It is necessary for that to factorise two 2×2 matrices which have branch points. After their preliminary partial factorization, the problem is reduced to factorization of matrices similar to those which were studied previously. The exact closed-form solution and diffraction matrix are obtained
