Abstract
In this study, we introduce a new way to decompose a signal on a partition of unity: the Fuzzy Projection. We compare it with the classical and closely related Inverse Fuzzy transform and we present convergence results. A numerical test is performed, that suggests the robustness of the Fuzzy Projection with respect to noise and its ability to perform signal compression.
