Abstract
A set of criteria for comparing rival single-switch induction heating power converter topologies are introduced. Three single-switch topologies are compared using a transmission efficiency study backed by extensive simulation and experimental measurement. The power handling capability of components is compared with the active power delivered by the power converter. This method of rating involves detailed analytical modeling and experimental verification
