Abstract
This paper presents the use of dynamic models in a real time supervisory system for fault detection in gas turbines. The analytical redundancy, given by quantitative and qualitative models of different gas turbine subsystems, is implemented in a specific software Ca~En, which is very useful to represent hard to measure and ill-known dynamic systems, such as the case of gas turbines
