Abstract :
To probe the effects of taishinone (TSN) on rat ventricular fibroblasts proliferation and its underlying mechanism. Methods CFb were isolated by trypsin digestion method. MTT colorimetric assay was adopted to evaluate cell proliferation, Hyp method to measure collagen content, nitro-reductase method was used to detect the NO level. Colorimetry was used to measure SOD and MDA contents. Results TNS decreased MTT value dramatically, increased NO level in dose and time-dependence manner. Conclusion The anti-proliferative effects of TSN on CFb may be related to enhancing Nitric oxide level, increasing SOD and decreasing MDA contents in ventricular fibroblasts, antagonizing biological action of AngII.
