Abstract
In this paper it is shown how Pontryagin´s minimum principle can be used in the frequency domain to help in the controller loop shaping design process. The SISO linear time-invariant feedback system is dealt with. The problem considered is to design the controller, subject to a number of constraints, so that the output variance is minimized
