  • Abstract
    A new ARQ approach is presented to enhance receiver performance for communication systems employing forward error correcting codes in frequency-selective fading wireless environments. This new approach involves a simple modification to the traditional turbo-equalizer by combining multiple precoded ARQ transmissions via integrated channel equalization. This modification provides a computationally efficient receiver that improves frame error rates when compared through simulations with iterative combining of multiple transmissions.
