Abstract :
A digital position control system for a low-power permanent-magnet synchronous actuator is presented. The control algorithm relies on a simplified decoupling state feedback to obtain field orientation and needs only a position sensor. It has been implemented around two 8-b MCS 8051 microcontrollers and tested on a 2 kW machine
