Abstract
Trigonometric functions are one of the most applicable functions in digital signal processing. In this paper, we propose two approaches for optimizing pipeline implementation of the CORDIC algorithm and compare it with other previous approaches. The proposed solutions are implemented on one of the Xilinx Virtex family´s FPGAs. Our simulation results show that for high input bits, our approach is preferable to other existing approaches.
