Abstract :
The authors present a completely digital realization of pulse-width-modulated (PWM)-VSI current controller for permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive application. The current control algorithm, including decoupling and compensation for machine parameter variation, is presented. The controller is implemented in a single-board control computer which is based on a 16 b microcontroller. Experimental results are presented. A 10 kHz sampling frequency for the current control loop was obtained. Current risetime to nominal value of less than 1 ms, without overshoot in the quadrature axis, and speed bandwidth up to 100 Hz were obtained
