Abstract
The authors present a comprehensive method to compute the parameters of an antiwindup proportional-plus-integral (PI) torque regulator for an indirect vector-controlled induction machine drive. Starting from the classical scheme with quasi-independent flux and torque control loops, a second-order transfer function is derived for torque control from a bounded current. Then, using an antiwindup PI regulator, a pole placement method is given to provide the two parameters. The influence of discretization is also investigated and tested on an experimental direct-digitally-controlled device
