Abstract :
The numerical control of a three-phase induction drive studied by the authors involves realization of a high-performance dynamic flux observer. The authors describe the structure, test, and operation of a specialized simulation program using a general simulation methodology named SOSIE. Comparison of experimental and simulated results allows one to detect the influence of a secondary phenomenon not previously taken into account. An adjustment of the simulation program permits the design of an observer with performance corresponding to desired specifications. The following perturbations have been accurately studied: delays and nonlinearities generated by the static converter, such as dead times, and problems related to limited accuracy associated with the numerization of the algorithms (truncation) and the discretization of the variables (sampling)
