Abstract
In this paper, an analytical comparison between the feedback active noise control approach and the polynomial RST approach is made. The major result is the use in the two cases of a control law linear in the estimate of the disturbance noise. The opportunity of employing the robust control approach in the narrow band problem avoiding the bulkiness of the classical adaptive solution is analysed. An industrial application is presented
