Abstract
The utilization of `small´ satellites is addressed in this paper as innovative alternative to traditional, `large´ satellites. Potential applications are highlighted, and frequency spectrum allocation is briefly addressed in light of the recent 1992 World Administrative Radio Conference (WARC-92). A specific `micro´ satellite programme, the Telespazio TEMISAT Environmental Data Collection & Distribution system, is then illustrated. Some remarks on critical technologies conclude the paper
