Abstract :
The problem of specifying a desired torque trajectory to achieve speed tracking in passivity-based control of induction motors is addressed. The paper presents a solution to the problem that does not require acceleration measurement nor knowledge of the load torque. Simulation results show the feasibility of the scheme when used as an improvement to the non-observer based scheme proposed by Espinosa et al. (1994)
