Abstract :
Over the past decade there has been a revolutionary reappraisal of fundamental quantum mechanical principles for technological applications. It now appears possible to exploit quantum superposition and entanglement in engineered quantum nanoscale devices with potentially revolutionary capabilities for information processing and transmission.
