Abstract
The authors consider adaptive noise canceling through adaptive infinite-impulse-response (IIR) filtering. The parallel-form adaptive equation error and output error IIR filter are addressed. The performance is better than that of the adaptive FIR filter. The authors also consider the special problems which are only present in an adaptive IIR filter. Computer simulation results are presented to illustrate the satisfactory behavior of adaptive IIR filter noise cancellation
