Abstract
In this paper, a Type-II flexible Hybrid ARQ (HARQ) scheme using half-rate invertible BCH codes is proposed and analyzed. According to the new scheme, the received frames which contains the same information bits are first combined according to Averaged Diversity Combining (ADC), then the parity frames attempts to recover the information frames by inversion operation. The BCH hybrid decoding is performed if the inversion fails. Hybrid decoder performs both hard and soft decoding in a single core and makes good tradeoffs between complexity and performance. Both theoretic analysis and numeric simulation are shown at the end.
