Abstract
Segmentation is a key problems in image processing. In the framework of mathematical morphology the traditional method of segmentation is based on the watershed transform. This method may be analysed as a region growing algorithm, starting from a set of markers for all zones of interest. The author extends it to the segmentation of color images and illustrates it, with paintings.
